THE 24 HOUR CYCLE

OK now...
Welcome, again, back to the Horrorwalker Travel Guide...
The guidebook that gives its readers a taste of 50 states of horror.

Every state in the USA has its own unique brand of horror.
The horror is as varied at the lives of each state's denizens.
Some of this horror is reality based,
And some of this horror is... not reality based.
But what is reality, really?

Here begins,
With this strange little horror poem,
The first horror tale in this new list of the 50 states of horror... in Alabama!

Welcome to the Horrorwalker Travel Guide!

THE 24 HOUR CYCLE

(Dadeville, Alabama)

So,
The moon is bright...
And the sky is so dark...
And the stars sparkle like fireflies in the night...
And the sun is down!

The crickets have awakened....
And the frogs have become bold and loud...
And the moths flutter about in their search for more light...
And the night has kissed the sun goodnight!

The birds have hidden themselves from their night enemies...
The rodents are carefully scurrying about the feet of the underbrush...
The wolves are stalking their prey with their night vision...
And the night has called forth the monsters who avoid the sun!

A scary stalker that walks on two feet has emerged from the darkness, too...
And the scary stalker looks exactly like a feral, but pretty, young woman...
And even thought the scary stalker might appear to be normal...
When she just smiled with a private thought, her sharp fangs hinted razing death!

The night moves quickly to reclaim the sun to wash away the evil in the darkness...
Time is fleeting as the night time evil realizes the sun is soon to arise bringing death with it...
Blood has to be let and flesh has to be rinded before the dawn lets the sun back in...
So the scary stalker moves from the night in the forest, to the city, to hunt for her food!

Finally, after all of the horror, the night sky begins to lighten with the coming of the dawn...
And the creatures of the night quickly crawl back into their sun proof dwellings...
And they spend the next twelve hours digesting all kinds of disgusting sustenance...
And they wait there, asleep or awake, for the sun to fall down again and the process to begin anew!
